June 15-19, 1974

President Shri V V Giri paid a bilateral visit to Bangladesh. He addressed a special session of Bangladesh Parliament.

April 16-18, 1979

Prime Minister Shri Morarji Desai paid an Official Goodwill Visit to Bangladesh. Mayor of Dhaka presented a key of the city to PM on behalf of citizens of Dhaka.

June 2, 1985

Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi visited Urir Char, Bangladesh to express sympathy and solidarity with the people of Bangladesh for their suffering caused by the cyclone.

December 7-8, 1985

Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi visited Dhaka to attend the 1st SAARC Summit.

Prime Minister Shri Chandra Shekhar visited Bangladesh to express solidarity with the people of Bangladesh for their suffering caused by the cyclone.

Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina visited West Bengal for the inauguration of the Bangladesh Bhaban at Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol also conferred a honorary D.Litt on the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
